About: At ATRIO Design, we had the privilege of designing and constructing Kabuli, an Afghan restaurant located in Moseley, Birmingham. Inspired by the rich cultural and culinary heritage of Afghanistan, we envisioned Kabuli as more than just a dining space—it’s a gateway to Afghan flavors, traditions, and hospitality.

Our design philosophy focused on creating a warm, inviting atmosphere that complements the restaurant’s authentic Afghan cuisine. The interiors feature a fusion of modern design with subtle Afghan influences. We incorporated decorative stucco finishes throughout the space, from the walls to the ceilings, adding depth and texture while maintaining an elegant, welcoming ambiance.

The goal was to craft a dining environment that immerses guests in the warmth of Afghan culture. Each design element—from the soft, earthy tones to the bespoke seating—was thoughtfully chosen to reflect the spirit of togetherness and celebration found in Afghan hospitality.

At Kabuli, guests are invited to embark on a culinary journey, where every meal becomes a celebration of taste, culture, and connection. Whether enjoying the signature Kabuli Pulao or any of the other authentic Afghan dishes, the design enhances the dining experience, creating a space where memories are made and traditions are honored.
